Your comfort is very important to us, which is why we use numbing agents and local anesthetics for most dental procedures. Many patients do not experience pain or discomfort when we use solutions such as this.

A Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere

Parks Family Dental has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our practice is tastefully decorated, so families don’t feel intimidated by the sights, smells, and sounds of the dental office. Everyone on our team is very caring and cheerful, and we do everything we can to give you the best possible visit.

Our Comforting Amenities

In addition to treating each patient with kindness and special attention, we offer several comforting amenities to enhance your dental experience.

Our dental chairs are large, cozy, and adjustable, so you can stay relaxed during treatment. We also offer soft neck pillows so you feel more at home in our care. All of our patients and staff members enjoy listening to music, so you can relax while you listen to your favorite songs.

Mild Sedation for Dental Anxiety

For patients with dental anxiety, or anyone who needs extra help relaxing, we offer mild oral sedation. Only your dentist can prescribe this medication once they determine it’s safe and beneficial for you.

Oral sedation alleviates anxiety, pain, and any discomfort a patient may experience during treatment.

Everyone has different dental needs and smile goals, so each appointment time varies. However, the average length of a full-mouth examination and teeth cleaning is between 30-60 minutes.

What to Expect at Your Dental Checkup

If you are coming in for a routine dental checkup, one of our dentists will review your medical history and discuss any concerns you may have.

We then take digital dental x-rays of your mouth to ensure all underlying structures are healthy and functional. Because your continued health is our priority, we screen for oral cancers at every dental visit.

The dentist assesses the condition of your teeth, gums, lips, cheeks, and other soft tissues to ensure there are no signs of decay, damage, or disease.

When the exam is complete, the dental hygienist gently and thoroughly cleans your teeth with specialized tools. Only your hygienist or dentist can effectively remove plaque and tartar from each tooth.

If you have gingivitis or gum disease, your dentist or hygienist will clean below the gumline and smooth the gums to promote soft tissue healing and elasticity.

At the end of your visit, your dentist will discuss any areas in need of improvement and offer guidance regarding your oral hygiene practices.

You are welcome to schedule your next appointment with our office and continue your day with a fresher, cleaner smile.

At Parks Family Dental, we understand dentistry can be expensive. We believe dental work should be affordable and accessible for everyone in the family, which is why we have a knowledgeable insurance staff who will do everything in our power to maximize each patient’s dental insurance and other financial options.

The cost of treatment varies based on the patient’s unique case, materials used, the dentist's expertise, and more. The only way to accurately determine how much your dental treatment will cost is to schedule an appointment with your dentist at Parks Family Dental.

We can also help you better understand dental insurance, CareCredit, and other payment options.

All-Ceramic Crowns and Bridges

At Parks Family Dental, we know your time is valuable, which is why we do our best to provide you with the treatment you need efficiently. Our highly experienced and expertly trained dentists can complete most restorative dental procedures in one day. We can attribute this continued success to our CEREC same-day dental crowns and digital scanning technologies.

Advanced Dental Technology

Our dental office uses digital scanning and computer-assisted technology to create all-ceramic dental crowns in a single dental appointment. These crowns are customized to match your surrounding teeth’s structure, appearance, and shade so your new and improved smile looks natural and beautiful.

CEREC Same-Day Crowns

CEREC, or Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, uses CAD/CAM (computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing) technology to quickly take digital impressions and create lifelike restorations. With this technology, we can create a perfectly fitted crown, onlay, inlay, or replace a prosthetic tooth on a denture or dental implant.

Every treatment we provide is completely customized to fit each patient’s lifestyle, preferences, appearance, functional needs, and aesthetic goals. We use leading-edge technologies, techniques, and materials to give you the best opportunity to attain your dream smile.

Children's Dentistry

As family dentists, one of our goals is to partner with parents to assist them in protecting their child’s oral health. Many of our daily choices affect your child’s smile, such as their home care routine and diet. Here are the most common ways you can help your child prevent cavities.

Practice Excellent Oral Hygiene at Home

Practicing good oral hygiene begins even before your baby gets their first tooth. To clean their mouth, gently rub a warm washcloth or wet gauze on their gums to remove bacteria. When their first teeth come in, you can start brushing their teeth with a soft-bristled baby toothbrush.

As they get older, you can use very small amounts of fluoride toothpaste to brush their teeth. For parents concerned about using fluoride toothpaste, you can ask your dentist to use xylitol toothpaste instead.

Eat a Balanced Diet

Helping your child eat a balanced diet and assisting them with brushing and flossing can ensure their teeth and gums stay healthy and bright. Instead of sweets or potato chips, opt for carrot sticks or fresh fruit.

Schedule Regular Dental Checkups

In addition to consistent brushing and flossing, your child must see the dentist to ensure they don’t have cavities or other dental health issues. We recommend seeing children every six months for routine checkups and cleanings by the time they turn one year old.

Preventive Dentistry

As family dentists, one of our goals is to partner with parents to assist them in protecting their child’s oral health. Many of our daily choices affect your child’s smile, such as their home care routine and diet. Here are the most common ways you can help your child prevent cavities.

Maintaining excellent oral hygiene is essential for keeping your teeth and gums healthy and functional throughout your lifetime. Brushing with fluoride toothpaste and flossing between teeth clears away plaque and bacteria. Still, only a dental professional can thoroughly remove cavity-causing substances from your teeth.

The Importance of Dental Cleanings

At Parks Family Dental, we take preventive dental care very seriously. We want you and your loved ones to experience the joy of strong and glowing smiles, so we highly encourage our patients to get regular dental cleanings every six months.

Some patients may require more frequent teeth cleanings, especially if they have gingivitis or gum disease. Dental cleanings allow our team to remove plaque, tartar, and other particles from the mouth so your teeth and gums remain free of decay and disease.

What to Expect at a Dental Cleaning

Before we clean your teeth, we take digital dental x-rays to make sure there are no underlying issues we can’t see during a visual oral exam. We also screen for oral cancers and review your hygiene routine and any concerns you may have.

The dental hygienist then uses special, painless instruments to clean the surfaces of your teeth, between your teeth, and all other nooks and crannies your toothbrush and floss can’t reach. The hygienist may also perform a periodontal chart so they can assess your gum health and clean below the gumline if needed.

Finally, we polish your pearly whites, and you can leave our dental office with a tidy and spotless grin.
