Parks Family Dental

Parks Family Dental uses modern dental technologies and techniques to deliver comfortable and precise care to our patients. Take a look at the innovative tools we use to ensure we provide you with the best care available.

Digital Impressions

Digital impressions, also known as 3-D intraoral scanning, capture a detailed replica of a patient’s mouth. Dr. Parks uses a wand-like tool connected to a computer to create a virtual model of your teeth, gums, jaws, and more.

After scanning the hard and soft tissues of your mouth, Dr. Parks sends the digital impression to a trusted dental lab where trained specialists create your custom crowns, bridges, dentures, or clear aligners.

Digital impressions are versatile as we use them for several treatments, and they are more accurate than messy traditional impressions.

Digital Records

At Parks Family Dental, we want to make your appointments as simple and stress-free as possible. That’s why we rely on secure digital records to optimize your experience and our practice's workflow.

Your digital dental records are completely confidential and secure, and they are available to you at any time. We can also send your digital records securely to other specialists and your insurance company if needed.

Digital X-Rays and Sensors

Our handheld digital sensors comfortably and efficiently capture high-resolution x-ray images. We use digital sensors to collect essential details about your oral health for diagnostic and treatment purposes.

Instead of wearing a heavy vest to protect against radiation or standing next to a large, intimidating machine, you can relax in the dental chair while we use the digital sensor.

Your dental x-rays are available instantly, and we can view them together on a computer monitor. We can even magnify or adjust images on the screen to have a more detailed look at your teeth, gums, and surrounding structures.

Finally, digital images are easier to store and share with our patients as needed.

CEREC Same-Day Dental Crowns

Among the many dental innovations we use at Parks Family Dental, CEREC same-day dental crowns are perhaps one of our patients' favorites. With CEREC same-visit crowns, we can restore your smile in a single dental appointment, so you don't have to wait weeks to chew, speak, and laugh comfortably again.

Dr. Lyle Parks takes a digital impression of your smile and creates a crown, or multiple crowns, using our on-site milling machine. Dr. Parks sits with you to review your aesthetic goals and oral health needs. We want you to be involved in the process, to ensure that your crown exceeds your expectations.

After your consultation with Dr. Parks, he creates your crown to complement your facial features and natural smile, so it looks and feels beautiful.

Many of our patients love CEREC same-day crowns because they are:

  • Efficient
  • Extremely accurate
  • Comfortable
  • Fully functional
  • Convenient

This technology is a game-changer and can improve your smile in one day! To learn more about this innovative technology, please contact our office or read more about our services and procedures.

Electric Handpieces

Our team uses electric handpieces for optimal precision and patient comfort. These instruments are integral to many of our treatments as they help us perform various tasks, such as tooth preparation, cosmetic dentistry, altering prosthetics, and more. Unlike air-driven handpieces of the past, these modern electric devices are quieter, produce less vibration for gentle, stress-free treatment.

Intraoral Cameras

Intraoral cameras are an essential piece of technology we use to show our patients and us the interior of their mouths without using a mirror. Intraoral photography provides sharp, fixed focus so we can see all of the nooks and crannies of your teeth and detect any dental health problems early.

During your appointment, either Dr. Parks or one of our friendly hygienists uses a small, slender camera for quick and accurate diagnostics. With a few clicks of a button, we can see your entire oral cavity and develop a personalized treatment plan based on our findings.
